Two Bournville College graduates met with Lord Alan Sugar in his London office last week, where they received words of encouragement and employment tips from the famous business guru.

Matthew Blackburn (20) from Northfield and Lucas McKenzie (18) from Handsworth left Bournville College in July 2009 with BTEC National Diploma qualifications and are now in the process of looking for employment - Matt is looking for a job as an IT Technician and Lucas would like to pursue a career in Sport.



New Build thumbBournville College is moving home

In September 2010, Bournville College will be relocating to the brand new £66m campus in Longbridge, on the site of the old Rover factory.

If you decide to join us from next September, you will be one of the first students to study in the new campus, in the second year of your course. We’re sure you’ll love the new building and it state-of-the-art facilities, from the cyber café, restaurants and deli bars to the sports hall and fitness centre.




Venice thumbTravel students take to the skies

Bournville’s Travel & Tourism students don’t just learn about foreign places, they also go out and about as part of their course and last year was no exception with students taking off to skies on several occasions.

BTEC National Diploma in Travel & Tourism students took a one day trip to Dublin. Twenty students boarded a plane at Birmingham International Airport , landing in Dublin. After, they all headed to the famous Guinness Factory first where they had a chance to see how the famous drink is made.
